I watched the sunset from my bathroom tonight.
I watched as the horizon swallowed the sun
and digested it in hues of yellow, pink, purple.
maybe the clouds are the good guys after all
hiding us from the colourful murder that takes place
every night
that I watch with delight
from a place so commonplace
as my sink
