there are a lot of c's in this entry

a myriad of family. a "brotherhood" created up out of sisters who originate from entirely different backgrounds. a polygamist family who are all in a relationship with one sport and who all pay tribute to the same father. we are tied beyond just our hitting percentages and our unnatural nature to hit a ball rather than, per se, catch one. we are connected through care, concern, and Christ. we are characterized by our unusual hatred of one of Canada's most beautiful campuses and our off-tune shrieks to a DJ khaled song. we are the long sleeves of the league. we are the spirituality of the CIS. we are the competition to the "unchallenged, bored, big" universities.

my past experiences with family has been marred by the brokenness of human immaturity. however, i believe that if family were how God intended it to be, it would be close to what i've experienced on this team. we're different and yet we're loved. we trust one another with our sport, our faith, and our vulnerabilities. we confront controversies as we openly discuss topics typically shunned by secular schools. our love for each other extends far beyond just the boundaries of a moving wall and a hardwood floor.

ecclesiastes 3:1 says there is a time for everything, a time for every activity under the heavens. it's our time to win, ladies. it's our time.
